Are you enjoying that the days are becoming lighter in April as we move into spring? Our Artists of the Month fit perfectly into this time of year. Take advantage of the 10 percent off their work all month!
Donna Karl makes light and contemporary stained-glass panels using the copper foil technique. Her images of vegetables, fish, apples in a bowl, or tulips in a vase feel fresh and modern.
Our other glass artist, Lora Kudisch, fuses glass into small plates and vessels with designs of fruits, trees, and houses. Her colorful trivets can do double duty as spoon rests, and her etched goblets add elegance to any table.
Eggs have been connected to spring in many cultures as a symbol of new life and fertility. Julia Tenney, one of our newest members, uses the traditional wax-resist technique to make Pysanky, Ukrainian dyed eggs. The brilliant colors and intricate designs are gorgeous. A portion of her pysanky sales are donated to vetted groups helping to defend and rebuild Ukraine.
